Handique Girls College,Guwahati -Admission Process for 2013

Admission into the college is made STRICTLY ON THE BASIS OF MERIT and is governed by the college admission rules. The decision of the Admission Committee is regarding admission is final. Application for admission into the college should be made on the prescribed application form issued by the college office.

1.Students will be admitted into the Higher Secondary and TDC MAJOR Course in both Arts & Science Stream. There is also provision for admission of students into the TDC GENERAL Course in both Arts & Science Streams. A Student may opt for admission into the general course without major as per admissible course combination.

2.Candidates securing 45% marks (in General Category) and 40% (Reserved Category) in qualifying examination are eligible to apply for admission

3.Candidates seeking admission into any Major subject must secure 50% (General Category) and 45% (Reserved Category) in the concerned subjects.

4.In TDC Courses, selection will be based on the calculation of total marks obtained out of 500, which will be the common basis. Total marks of the students from other boards will be calculated on the common basis mentioned above. For HS Course, the common basis of calculation of total marks obtained by the student in HSLC Examination (and other Boards) will be out of 600.

5.In case the candidate has not studied the subject in +2 examination, in which she desires to study Major, (only in the case of those subjects which are allowed as per GU regulations) her eligibility for taking major will be her aggregate percentage.

6.Any change in combinations of subjects (Both Major & General) after admission of the student will not be entertained.

7.Candidates securing 40% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply for admission into Bengali Major only.
